Sr. BJ's Pantry is owned and operated by the Carmelite
Sisters of St. Therese of the Infant Jesus. The Carmelite
Sisters are a Catholic Religious Order located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
In 2003, Rick Swyden started the
Hot Dogs for the
Homeless program for the people living on the streets of Oklahoma City.
Sr. Barbara Joseph soon joined his effort and found the needs of the
homeless extended beyond the hunger for food.
The homeless are also hungry for the love and compassion of
Our Lord. Following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, Sr. Barbara
Joseph (Sr. BJ) strives to provide for that need with spiritual gifts of
love and prayer and temporal gifts of clothing, blankets and personal
hygiene products.
You are prayerfully invited to join Sr. BJ with a
tax-deductible donation.
